System Integration and Delivery of All-IP UHD OB Van

With the advent of the 5G era and the development of the ultra-high-definition video industry, full-IP architecture has become an inevitable trend in the broadcasting and television industry. In this project, our company undertook the core system integration of a new generation of ultra-high-definition OB (Outside Broadcast) Van for a broadcasting station, adopting an all-IP architecture design based on the SMPTE ST 2110 standard.

Project Highlights & Technical Specifications

Centered around the All-IP converged production and scheduling center, the system achieves seamless bridging between uncompressed baseband signals and modern IP architecture. The core router features concurrent processing capabilities for hundreds of UHD signals, significantly reducing cable scale and system weight, thereby securing the mobility of the OB Van.

In terms of equipment configuration, we deployed high-density access gateways (REG-1024), intelligent cross-conversion processing units (MCG-1018), and multi-channel multi-viewers supporting 100G interfaces (MVG-2206). Meanwhile, the system integrates studio cameras, ensuring that the OB Van delivers exceptional color accuracy and ultra-low latency when handling large-scale variety galas and major sports broadcasting events.

Customer Feedback

Since its delivery, the system has successfully supported multiple live broadcasting missions for major New Year countdown galas and international sports events. The client highly praised the system's exceptional stability, flexible routing scheduling, and our team's professional competence during technical commissioning.
